Eye-tracking echnology is available which when worn measures where on a screen a user looks. These data can be used to learn about what users look at when viewing and interacting with an application on a computer screen. Some of the research done with this technology is used by commercial web sites to improve the design and layout of their web sites to better communicate with customers and potential customers.

It is plausible that this technology could be used in research about how students use our technologies. Extending this idea it might be possible to use these data in real-time to affect the learners experience by dynamically changing the presentation on the screen.
